Good top speed and maneuverability Good turret traverse speed Good view and signal range The top gun has great gun depression, aim time and dispersion stats Small chunk of spaced armor near the turret machine gun Cons: The 37mm Gun T16 is one of the only 2 fully-automatic cannons ingame: This tank is not completely defenseless, but as it cannot stand against enemy fire, you should harass the enemy with hit and run tactics. This tank can win in a dogfight with pretty much any other tier 4 light, destroy almost any arty it will come up against, and seriously annoy anything else. If you can force the enemy’s attention away from your allies, their jobs will be much easier and you will have greatly contributed to team victory. You are a very small target with passable view range, a good radio and extremely good mobility, making active scouting possible. While performance characteristics are excellent, its gun performance leaves much to be desired, as with the actual M5 Stuart.
Time and again, I see players who might have done better, hamstrung by poor garage management choices and bizarre opinions which prevent them from using tools and techniques that would help them to advance. Therefore, I am starting up a tutorial account, to illustrate each point in turn, so that new or experienced players may manage their out-of-battle decisions better.
It is worth noting that all of what follows is my own opinion, built up over 24, battles. Not everyone will agree with all of it, or with my particular philosophies, but I think that the advice is good. An invite code might have or gold on it, or perhaps something like gold plus a low-tier premium vehicle.
Matchmaker (WoT) Jump to: navigation, search. M5 Stuart, M24 Chaffee, T21, T37, T71, (see the Matchmaking Chart above for exceptions) will never see a desert map. So, for now at least, purchasing a desert camo skin for these vehicles is a complete waste, and a winter camo skin is minimal at best.
It is an opportunity for us to reflect on the language and ideas that represented each year. So, take a stroll down memory lane to remember all of our past Word of the Year selections. Change It wasn’t trendy , funny, nor was it coined on Twitter , but we thought change told a real story about how our users defined Unlike in , change was no longer a campaign slogan. But, the term still held a lot of weight. Here’s an excerpt from our Word of the Year announcement in The national debate can arguably be summarized by the question: In the past two years, has there been enough change?
Has there been too much? Meanwhile, many Americans continue to face change in their homes, bank accounts and jobs.

Your Historical Foundation is Making it Known. The Evolution of Marine Tanks. Among the first witnesses of these attacks were a few far-sighted officers, who, after the war, were to fight later-on to convince the Department of the Navy that the Marine Corps should have at least one platoon of tanks. Never the less, one was authorized in It is a sad note that the names of these farsighted officers cannot be found, due to the red tape of history.
Thus with the reluctant blessings of the Great White Fathers of the Navy Department in Washington, the first of a long line of Marine Corps tank units was formed. The Platoon consisted of twenty-two enlisted men and two officers. The Platoon was issued three, six-ton light tanks. These tanks had been built in the United States during under license from the French Government.
The other one mounted a French 37mm Puteaux one-pounder infantry cannon. One of the reasons that this tank was so famous, was that it was the first tank to successfully mount a weapon in a fully degree traversing turret. Even though it was called the Six-Ton Light Tank, its total weight was 7. The driver was a little better off in that he had a seat, but both men suffered considerably from the exhaust and gasoline fumes of the engine.
During the rest of that winter and all through the next summer the Platoon became familiar with their tanks.

They were also the first tanks used by an Australian armoured unit in the jungle against the Japanese in New Guinea in late Australia received both M3 and M3A1 types, and both petrol and diesel engined versions. The first tanks of the M5 series were produced in April , and a new modification, the M5A1, was preferred over other variants. After the M24 Chaffee was developed, the M5A1 tanks were deemed obsolete and were exported to other countries, including China.
First kit of this version in styrene; excellent moldings and details with good parts breaks for anyone wanting aftermarket interior sets; nicely done vinyl tracks; virtually complete kit as is Disadvantages: M3A3 is essentially a non-American version, may hurt sales Recommendation: It combined an M3 lower hull with a sloped armor hull and an improved design of rolled armor plate turret with a bustle originally designed to house a British No.
Up to now the only way to get an M3A3 — also known as the Stuart Mk. V to the British — was to convert a Tamiya M3 with a new turret or M5A1 turret and a resin or scratchbuilt hull. AFV Club has now solved the problem and provides one of the most complete kits for making this attractive vehicle possible for a reasonable price. The kit provides all of the basic parts for the M3A3 plus the optional Commonwealth fittings and stowage bin.
Brass grilles are included for the engine as well as for the stowage bin basket, and a turned aluminum gun barrel is also provided. Three nicely done M A4 machine guns come with the kit, including the “rocker” mount for the AA one. Some interior parts are included such as a complete gun breech and SCR radio set for the turret bustle oddly no No. Hatches are all detailed with separate viewers and viewer mounts.
Details about, and for the first time in my memory even the “gear” detail of the turret race is provided as part of the hull detail. The kit also provides 24 links of T16 track from the earlier separate track set as well as — for the first time for these vehicles — separate grouser bars, each consisting of two parts. Seven different decal options are provided:
American As you can see, in addition to vehicles that fought, there are quite a few of prototypes, paper projects, and immediate postwar vehicles. Below the main trees are “special tanks” – on the left are premium tanks bought with real money, on the right are ones that you’ll get either with the game box, or at special events. Combat is fairly straightforward – two teams of fifteen tanks each start on opposite sides of a map, about a kilometer square. Each team starts near a flag; around a flag there is a meter circle.
The M5 Stuart is an American tier 4 light tank. A further modification of the M3 Stuart, the M5 entered production in April By June a total of 8, vehicles in two variants had been produced.
It usually moves on continuous tracks, also known as caterpillar treads, which give it considerable cross country mobility, and its main armament is usually mounted in a revolving turret allowing the main armament to be traversed to bear on any direction. These features distinguish tanks from armored cars, which move on conventional tires, and self-propelled guns, whose main armament is mounted in the front of the vehicle hull where it has a limited arc of fire.
Originally invented by the British during the First World War to break the stalemate on the Western Front, and championed by Winston Churchill , tanks provided mobile firepower that could stand up to artillery barrage and help the infantry break through trench defenses. Tanks played a crucial role in both the First and the Second World War. By the time war broke out in Europe in , the Germans had organized most of their tanks into armored divisions , and these were supplied with mechanized infantry, which proved essential for overcoming local resistance to permit the tanks to continue advancing.
These massed tank tactics were applicable on mainland Asia and on some of the larger islands of the Pacific, such as Luzon , that had large areas of flat ground. However, most of the Pacific battles were fought on small or rugged islands where tank mobility was either negated or irrelevant. Here tanks fell back into the direct infantry support role, providing cover and firepower for the infantry advance.
The infantry, in turn, protected the tanks from enemy infantry equipped with shaped charges or other antitank weapons. Allied tanks proved crucial for neutralizing Japanese fortifications. Even when employed in the direct infantry role, tanks were best used in small groups rather than individually. British tank commanders in Burma , who were usually relatively junior officers , complained bitterly at the tendency of more senior infantry officers to deploy the tanks in “penny packets” that dissipated their strength and led to heavy casualties without ensuring victory.
Upgrading your tank The first upgrades should always be Parts, then something you choose Tracks, Turret Drive, or Ammo , and then FPE “Fire Extinguishers” , since without these you will be destroyed or rendered useless much faster. Once you research the “Parts” on any ground vehicle, you gain the ability to Repair most of your damaged modules like engine, or stuck turret, Without the Parts upgrade, you can only repair your broken tracks in the field, the other modules requiring you to stand inside a captured points in Arcade Battle.
During this process, you can’t move your tank, but you can still turn your turret and shoot.
The M5 Stuart entered production in April By June a total of 10, vehicles in two variants had been produced. The tank was used in all theaters of war.

The Bison sits as the first artillery piece, on the left of the German tree. The Wespe, from memory branches off the Panzer II. Like I’ve told my fellow clan buddies. Even if you go the Bison route and not the Wespe. Both SPGs are pretty agile once upgrade, cheap to refit and repair. While the WOT beta’s running, you’ll receive gold per day. So once you have unlocked your SPG completely. It’s a great way to farm your way into better tanks by transfering accumulated experience points into free experience.

But it’s an active not passive scout. Why would it need to do any damage? Bouncy, good for hull down, one of those tanks that causes Hetzer’s, Matilda’s, Luches, Pz3’s, and B2’s problems. Also choose whatever gun is reasonable but lightest in weight, again to help your speed – the 37mm looks good for that, and with an ace aim time and good pen especially with prem it will be enough for re-setting cap, getting enemy tanks attention etc.
Well, call me no one, for I very much love my Luchs, greatly enjoyed the PzNA, Leopard (back when it was Tier 4), Covenanter, T, A, M5 Stuart and Ke-Ho, and .

I started a guide about creating sensible platoons in the garbage dumb a. I am really curious how much neg rep the last part will get me. Working the matchmaking The golden rule when creating a platoon is to choose tanks that share the same matchmaking spread. Examples for such a well-matched platoon would be:
Whether vehicles are stock or fully researched, how they are equipped, nor crew skill is taken into account by the match-maker. Vehicle Tier Vehicle tier is not taken into consideration when balancing teams. This is a common misconception among players. For example, under the current rules a tier 8 medium can be matched against a tier 7 heavy tank. The only relevance of vehicle tier is to determine the battle tier.
However, the top tanks of each team have the same vehicle tier due to the current balancing rules. The vehicle tier should be taken into consideration as it reflects a preordained operating range of a vehicle also known as classification. The range of each tier gradually increases with technology and tiers can overlap.
If you are in a platoon, the entire platoon is placed into battles according to the platoon member in the vehicle with the highest battle tier. This can produce unwanted results in particular for new players at the lower tiers. For example, a tier 4 scout can enter battles up to tier 7, whereas a tier 4 medium tank on its own can only join battles up to tier 6. If these platoon together, the scout will pull the other tank up into its battle tier, where the other tank will usually be hopelessly outclassed.
The same thing happens when a tank with preferential match making is platooning with a normal tank. Please take this into account when forming platoons.
